Sole proprietors and single-person businesses must enroll as individuals. Apple does not accept trade names, DBAs or branches as organizations. More detail: how to enroll in the Apple Developer Program.
How we work
- Tell us your situation: individual or company, app category and when you want to launch.
- Confirm the route: we list the documents you need and check your D-U-N-S status for organization accounts.
- Pre-check your details: name, address, phone and website must match everywhere — mismatches are the most common reason for delays.
- Enroll and verify: submit through Apple's flow and handle Apple's identity checks and, for companies, the verification call.
- Pay and activate: once Apple approves, pay the annual fee and the account is ready in App Store Connect.
- Launch support: TestFlight, store listing and review preparation if you need it.
How long it takes
With complete details, individual accounts are usually active within a few days. Organization accounts depend on whether your D-U-N-S number is ready and how quickly Apple completes its verification — typically one to a few weeks.
Fees
Apple charges US$99 per year for the Apple Developer Program, the same for individuals and organizations; the Enterprise Program is US$299 per year with much stricter eligibility. Our service fee is separate and depends on your case. See how much an Apple Developer account costs.
Why not buy an existing account?
Individual Apple Developer accounts cannot be transferred to another person, and an organization's Account Holder role can only move to someone inside the same company. A purchased account stays in someone else's name — including payouts and control of the Apple Account. Registering under your own name is the safer route.
FAQ
Can I upgrade an individual account to an organization later?
Yes. Contact Apple to convert an individual account to an organization account. You will need your company's legal entity details and D-U-N-S number, and the seller name will change to your company name.
Do I need a company website for an organization account?
Yes. Apple requires a publicly available website whose domain is associated with your organization.
How fast can I publish after the account is active?
You can create your app in App Store Connect right away. Most App Store reviews are completed within 24 to 48 hours.
