Before you start
- An Apple Account with two-factor authentication, using your real legal name.
- Your legal name, address (no P.O. boxes) and phone number. Apple may ask for a photo ID.
- Organizations: legal entity status, a D-U-N-S number, a public website on your company's domain, and legal authority to sign agreements for the company.
Individual enrollment
- Sign in to the Apple Developer website or the Apple Developer app and start enrollment.
- Choose Individual / Sole Proprietor and confirm your legal name and contact details.
- Complete identity verification if requested.
- Accept the license agreement and pay US$99. Pay with your own card — using someone else's card delays enrollment and Apple will ask for ID.
- Wait for the confirmation email. If it hasn't arrived within 24 hours of purchase, contact Apple with your Enrollment ID.
Organization enrollment
- Start enrollment and choose Company / Organization.
- Enter the legal entity name, D-U-N-S number, headquarters address, phone and website — all matching Dun & Bradstreet's record.
- Confirm your signing authority. If you aren't the owner or founder, provide a colleague who can confirm your authority.
- Apple verifies the organization and may call you or your reference.
- After approval, Apple emails you to accept the agreement and pay the US$99 fee.
Why enrollment gets stuck
- "Your enrollment could not be completed": often mismatched name or region, or an unfinished earlier enrollment. Fix your Apple Account details, try once in the Apple Developer app, then contact Apple Developer Support rather than retrying repeatedly.
- D-U-N-S mismatch or a new D-U-N-S number Apple can't see yet (allow about two business days).
- Trade names, DBAs or branches: Apple only accepts legal entities; sole proprietors enroll as individuals.
- Missed verification call: keep your phone reachable and watch your email.
FAQ
How long does Apple Developer enrollment take?
Individual accounts are often active within 24 to 48 hours of payment. Organization accounts depend on D-U-N-S and Apple's verification and usually take one to a few weeks.
Can I enroll as an organization without a D-U-N-S number?
No. Organizations need a D-U-N-S number so Apple can verify legal entity status. Government organizations are the exception.
Can I use someone else's credit card?
Individuals should pay with their own card. Using another person's card delays enrollment and Apple will ask for a government photo ID.
Can someone enroll on my behalf?
Enrollment must be in your own name or your company's name. A service like ours helps prepare and check your details and follows up on verification — the account remains yours.
